Llandegla Fishery + Campsite Wrexham
Our location is ideally situated for mountain bikers and walkers, with the added benefit of all types of fishing on site, from fun for the kids to the serious coarse and fly fisherman, and also a wide array of outdoor activities in the surrounding environment of the Welsh hills. We are adjacent to one of the most popular mountain bike centres in the country (Coed Llandegla's entrance is 100 yards from our gate). There is also an RSPB centre within the forest and walks around the reservoir – home to black grouse.
We have a selection of well stocked lakes suitable for all levels of fisherman – from family fun to the serious fisherman. Two trout pools stocked with Rainbow, Brown, Tiger and Gold Trout

We are proud of our cafe. Since teaming up with Home Farm, Overton, we think we are offering one of the most truly 'free range' breakfasts in north Wales.
CARAVANNING
We are a caravan site for 15 touring vans, camper vans or trailer tents. We have a mixture of pitches and 8 of these serviced with electric hook up points. Fresh water taps are easily available. The pitches are situated around our lakes giving you chance to observe the wildlife, catch your own fresh fish (or buy some fresh trout from us) and have it cooking on the barbecue fresh from the lake.
Prices are for 1 van or motorhome and car with 2 adults:
1 x Pitch £33 per night including hook up, extra adults £8, extra children £7, extra cars £3, awnings £6, dogs £2.5 (all per night).

Please observe our regulations regarding minimum spacing regarding fire regulations etc. Our pitches are not marked out but all have E.H.U's spaced out to give room for you van and car adjacent – most pitches have picnic benches to create your own space. We have endeavoured to create a relaxed atmosphere without a prolific number of rule signs and lists of do's and dont's, although we have to comply with insurance and authority regulations.
Rubbish point is on the main car park (blue bins) & please recycle where you can. Chemical & grey waste are now disposed of by the new shower block (on the left hand side of the Men's)
Now available to book, we have just finished our first canvas bell tent which is 7 x 5metres and sleeps up to 3 adults or a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children (1 superking bed + 1 single bed).There is a fully kitted outdoor kitchen area (please see pictures), which includes pots, pans, crockery, a double gas burning stove, fridge, fully working sink and washing up facilities.The tent is fully set up – all bed linen is included and ready for your arrival, just bring yourself, towels and provisions. The tent has 1 superking size bed and 1 single bed and are fully made up ready for you to roll into. They also have a small outbacker, and a wood burning stove set on a slate hearth for cooler evenings. Also inside you will find a fire guard, fire extinguisher, hearth tools, fire lighters, and loads of kindling. You are welcome to bring your own logs but if needed, we do sell them on site at £6 per bag. (Please be aware the wood burners do run hot! And may not be suitable for small children if left unsupervised).
Glamping
You will also find side tables, lanterns, tea light chandelier, some solar/battery lighting, carpeted flooring and decor that we hope you will enjoy!
Outside your tent you will have a picnic bench, a full kitchen area with an LPG 2 ring cooker, a water container and a washing up bowl, along with an LPG camping fridge, a fire pit, running water and also a two person log fired hot tub. Showers and toilets are around 50 metres away; they are brand new as of August 2021 and we have had great reviews so far.
With all of the above, if you don't fancy cooking you can recharge your own batteries at our lake side café where we offer a wide range of free range breakfasts, Rijo coffee, a varied lunch menu including our own smoked trout specials, homemade cakes and scones and locally made ice cream 'savour the flavour'! We also offer a range of breakfast packs to take away which include sausages, bacon, burgers, eggs and smoked and fresh trout. The café is open 9-5, 7 days a week. We are directly adjacent to One Planet mountain bike centre, which also has walking routes, an RSBC centre, a great café and bike hire is also available. Also adjacent to us is a laser combat centre which is great for family fun. We are around 20 minutes from Wrexham, Chester and Llangollen.
We have a bus request stop at our gateway, if you wish to explore and not drive. (The X51 route goes to Wrexham or Ruthin, Denby). With spectacular views and a wealth of activities available locally, plenty of places to visit along with our variety of fishing on site, there is plenty to do over a weekend break or a longer holiday.
If of course you wish to chill and watch the world go by, take in the views, wildlife or even the stars at night, then we have the place! We have positioned our 2 clamping tents to give you your own private space within our site and reasonable access to our facilities.
